Pre-twisted wire is mainly used for the connection of overhead power conductors and power overhead optical cable terminals, suspensions and joints.
Pre-twisted wire fittings have been widely used in power transmission and distribution, optical fiber communications, electrified railways, cable television, construction, agriculture and other fields. Pre-twisted wire is a product made by pre-twisting several single-strand spiral metal wires. According to the cross-sectional size of the conductor, the spiral metal wire with a specified inner diameter is rotated in the spiral direction to form a tubular cavity. The pre-twisted wire is wrapped around the outer layer of the conductor in the spiral direction. Under the action of the conductor tension, the spiral rotates to form an anchoring force and grip on the conductor. The greater the conductor tension, the tighter the spiral is rotated, and the greater the grip on the conductor.
